Manama: Under the Patronage of His Excellency Eng. Basim Bin Yaqoob Al Hamar, Minister of Housing and Chairman of Eskan Bank, the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF) and Eskan Bank will host a one-day Hybrid Forum on Sustainable Development, bringing together some of the region’s most prominent Speakers and experts in this field, to exchange ideas and experiences on strategies to achieve a sustainable economy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Under the theme ‘Leading a Sustainable Economy, the Forum will be hosted on 14th November 2021, from 9am – 2pm Bahrain time at the BIBF new Headquarters in Bahrain Bay.

This forum is in line with recent announcements of the region’s green initiatives and the Net Zero target by 2060 for the Kingdom of Bahrain paving the way for a sustainable transformation; also, in time with the COP26 summit, held in Glasgow, UK, which brings countries together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The Forum aims to establish a platform to discuss the most pressing sustainability topics with a global lens and a regional focus and to arrive at findings and practical recommendations to create real on-ground impact and change. Key topics addressed at the Forum covers various tracks on Sustainable Development, including Leadership, Performance Measurement, Affordable Housing, Innovation and Human Capital.

Business professionals from various sectors and specialisations will engage and learn from keynote speakers, expert panelists, and specialised training tracks delivered by 22 market practitioners both locally and internationally, through an interactive and stimulating learning experience.

Participants will also be given the opportunity to discuss, share their experiences, and ask questions during these tracks using different digital means.
