UAE :  The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) celebrated the graduation of the second batch of the Digital Future Leaders Program, which aims to enable Emirati job-seekers to acquire specialized technical and personal skills in the ICT field, to work in the private sector.

The program comprises a set of tracks covering practical skills in problem solving, critical thinking, human interaction and others, enabling graduates to deal with the concepts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, AI-supported technologies, robotics, automation and virtual reality.

In his opening speech at the ceremony, H.E. Eng. Mohammad Al Zarooni, TDRA Deputy Director General for the Digital Government Sector, welcomed the attendees, and thanked the private sector companies that supported the program. He said: “The Digital Future Leaders Program confirms TDRA’s constant keenness to open career prospects for national graduates to acquire specialized technical and practical skills and various competencies in ICT, with the aim of increasing their chances of obtaining a job in the private sector.”

H.E. Eng. Al Zarooni highlighted that the graduates' joining this program indicates their sincere desire to benefit from real experiences and acquire more expertise and skills, which shows their entitlement to success and leadership. He added: “We, at TDRA, will not hesitate to support Emirati cadres wishing to gain knowledge of the future within the ICT sector. We will continue to attract the youth who wish to develop scientific and practical knowledge in this field. This project is at the heart of our national mission, and part of our duty towards the community. This phase of our beloved country’s journey requires us all to mobilize energies, efforts and ideas in order to contribute to the next fifty, and make it a success story that is comparable to, or even better than the first fifty. This is what we are accustomed to, and these are the expectations of our wise leadership. The real bet in this task is on you with your acquired knowledge and loyalty to this generous country.”

The Digital Future Leaders Program extends over 12 weeks and provides 22 hours of training in information technology, 11 hours of training in business skills, 72 hours of virtual practical labs, and 6 awareness workshops with experts from the private sector.

This program aims to qualify graduates to increase their chances of obtaining a job in tech companies in the private sector. The program includes training courses in information technology, work skills, virtual practical labs, and awareness workshops with experts from the private sector. The program also provides participants with professional guidance and training with the private sector in the field of ICT.

TDRA is keen to launch programs and initiatives for the development of national cadres working in the ICT sector. It launched the "Emirati Entrepreneurship Program", with the aim of training young Emirati engineers and qualifying them to be entrepreneurs and role models in the emerging technology system in the UAE, in addition to TDRA Innovation Camp, and the training programs offered by the TDRA Virtual Academy.
