Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) finished Sunday’s trading session on a negative note, after its benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) plunged 60.28 points, or 0.72%, to 8,307. 42 points, registering its lowest level in 15 sessions.
TASI’s trading volume stood at 144 million shares, up from 120.84 million shares on Thursday, while the market's traded value increased to SAR 3.65 billion ($973.87 million), from SAR 3.1 billion ($828.27 million).
The utilities sector fell 3.97%, followed by the healthcare equipment and services sector with 3.12%, while the materials and banking sectors dropped 0.65%, and 0.51%, respectively.
On the other hand, the telecommunication services sector rose 1.04%, while the commercial and professional services sector inched up 0.13%.
Dallah Healthcare Company’s (DHC) stock was the bourse’s worst performer with 9.98%, whereas Methanol Chemicals Company’s (Chemanol) stock led gainers with 9.94%.
The Saudi Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) stock topped in terms of traded value after generating SAR 855.92 million, while Alinma Bank’s stock led in terms of trading volume after 23.67 million shares were exchanged.
In the meantime, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, NOMU, levelled up 4.14 points, or 0.15%, to finish at 2,763.34 points.
Baazeem Trading’s stock went up 1.42%.
