Sharjah, UAE: Sharjah Health Authority and Burjeel Hospitals, one of the leading private healthcare groups have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide the best healthcare services to Sharjah citizens at discounted rates. Under the agreement, senior residents of Sharjah will receive discounts in all forms of treatment provided by group's hospitals.

This includes employees of the Government of Sharjah, their families, retirees and those covered by insurance.. The beneficiaries of the agreement will be able to access a full range of services provided across Burjeel Hospitals .

The MoU was signed by H.E Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of Sharjah Health Authority and Sharjah Healthcare City and Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, founder and managing director of VPS Healthcare

His Excellency Abdulla Ali Al Mahyan said:

We are delighted to sign this important agreement with Burjeel Hospitals , one of the pioneering and state-of-the-art groups, to provide advanced healthcare to Sharjah residents with additional benefits. This partnership is in line with our strategy at Sharjah Health Authority to promote public-private partnerships to improve health benefits for citizens and residents. In accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

The MoU will see patients referred to Burjeel Hospital facilities to receive fast-track medical attention and treatment as and when required. The MoU agreement provides 30 per cent discounts on various health-related treatments and services, as well as fast track appointments, to the UAE nationals and government employees, and Sharjah’s residents above 60 years of age.
