Riyadh –  Saudi Arabia’s crude oil exports increased by 7.5% year-on-year, or 506,000 barrels per day (bpd), in August, the Joint Organisations Data Initiative’s (JODI) data revealed on Thursday.

The Kingdom exported 7.21 million barrels during August, up from 6.71 million in the same month a year earlier, JODI’s data added.

In August, the oil-rich nation registered its highest level ever in oil exports.

Month-on-month, Saudi oil exports rose by 96,000 bpd, or 1.3%, in August from 7.12 million a month earlier.
