Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) started Monday's trading session in green territory, after its main Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) went up 9.4 points, or 0.11%, to 8,316.82 points.

By 10:40 am Saudi time, TASI’s trading volume hit 23.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of SAR 528.15 million through 16,300 transactions.

The media sector grew 2.6%, followed by the banking sector with 0.21%, while the telecommunication services and materials sectors added 0.15% and 0.14%, respectively.

On the other hand, the healthcare equipment and services sector fell 1.27%, while the transportation sector inched down 0.81%.

Methanol Chemicals Company’s (Chemanol) stock jumped 5.2%, while Electrical Industries Co.’s (EIC) stock fell 7.7%.

Meanwhile, NOMU, the main index of the Nomu-Parallel Market, remained unchanged at 2,763.34 points.
