The Saudi German Hospital in Riyadh has partnered with U.S. non-profit organisation Mayo Clinic to provide better healthcare services in Saudi Arabia.

The agreement, announced by Middle East Healthcare Company on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), is in accordance with the 2030 vision of the kingdom.

The Saudi-listed firm said in a statement that the cooperation agreement intends to provide high-quality medical services and improve the patient’s life. Under the deal, critical cases will be reviewed with Mayo Clinic doctors and patients can obtain treatment without the need for travel abroad.

“This agreement that was signed is in accordance with the 2030 vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia [will] build strong cooperation with international standard-organisations to improve the healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia,” the statement said.

Middle East Healthcare Co. builds, manages, operates and maintains hospitals, clinics and pharmacies.

In November last year, Mayo Clinic partnered with Abu Dhabi to operate one of the largest hospitals in the United Arab Emirates.
