AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) has announced that it has started accepting applications for the Rayaat Scholarship Program for the coming academic year 2021-2022.

The Rayaat program comes as part of the Foundation’s vision to empower Bahraini youth to achieve success, instill ambition, and provide opportunity for continued education, ultimately creating a generation equipped with the skills and knowledge required to develop and progress within society.

This year, the programme is awarding a number of bachelor degrees with partnering universities, namely the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic.

Those wishing to register for the Rayaat Scholarship Program at the University of Bahrain and Bahrain Polytechnic can start applying from February 14 till February 20.

The Rayaat Scholarship program was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development.

The program provides scholarships for students to join an accredited university in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as offering many benefits including financial incentives, workshops and opportunities, while promoting a culture of ‘community responsibility” by instilling volunteerism and community service within a supportive environment.

MKF Board Chairperson Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, expressed great happiness on the opening of registration for the Rayaat program in the coming period, stressing on the fact that the increase of Bahraini students working towards obtaining a university degree indicates a sense of determination in the coming generation.

"The Foundation’s main focus is rooted in supporting students and encouraging them to grasp educational opportunities and initiatives that will enhance their personal development, as well as shape a strong future for them in the kingdom," stated Shaikha Zain.

Those wishing to apply for the Rayaat Scholarship program can do so by registering via the Foundation’s website www.mkfbh.org.

The applicants will be selected after passing a series of assessments, with eligibility being determined by academic achievement, a personal interview, as well as additional extracurricular or volunteer work.
