AMMAN The grant from the Gulf countries allowed Jordan to implement 34 strategic projects of priority within the 2011-2013 executive programme, of JD1,446.01 million allocations, some 55 per cent of the total grant, according to a statement from the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.

A total of 90 projects, ongoing and under implementation, listed in the 2012 State Budget Law, of more than JD1.186 million allocations, some 45 per cent of the total grant, have been funded, the statement added.

The GCC Higher Council, in its 32nd session in 2011, approved offering Amman a grant to support development projects. In 2012, Jordan agreed with Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait on the projects to be funded, with a share basis of JD886.25 million for each country.
