More than 520 leading international and local brands, representing 34 countries, are showcasing their innovative products and solutions at Saudi Build 2019.

A one-of-a-kind construction trade extravaganza, Saudi Build Exhibition 2019 kicked off today (October 7) at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

The event, which is concurrently being held with Saudi Stone Tech, Saudi Build PMV Series, Interior Design and Saudi Build Technology & Automation Building, was inaugurated by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh Region.

To be held until October 10, Saudi Build will provide unique opportunities and enormous prospects for investors who are eager to enter the Saudi market.

The 31st edition of the expo enjoys the platinum sponsorship of Saudi Exports Development Authority, and the partnership of The National Gas and Industrial Company (GASCO), Saudi Council of Engineers, and Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA), said the organisers Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC).

The expo will see companies provide high quality construction services, a wide choice of construction solutions, and promising investment opportunities, it stated.

Mohammed Al Alsheikh, the Head of Marketing & Corporate Communications at REC, said: “This exhibition brings thousands of local and international businessmen, exporters, manufacturers, industry specialist, importers and decision-makers under a single platform to explore the phenomenal opportunities which the nation’s largest sector has to offer”.

“Saudi Build 2019 will display innovative infrastructure capabilities, inspiring advancements in the building arena and feature state-of-the-art technologies in the field of materials science”, stated Al Alsheikh.

“The exhibition will also bring over 600 local, regional and international organizations together on a single platform, allowing them to network with industry influencers, decision-makers and professionals and explore unmatched investment prospects in Saudi Arabia’s promising construction sector which holds the biggest potential in the GCC,” he added.

The exhibition comes at a time when the Saudi construction sector is witnessing a significant growth, following the announcement of the ambitious Saudi Vision in April of 2016, said REC in its statement.

In fact, the Saudi construction sector is currently valued at SR2250 billion, with infrastructure projects alone amounting to SR1312.25 billion, it stated.

Current ongoing projects constitute 82.4% of overall construction activities, reflecting the continued growth and development in the sector, it added.

According to Alsheikh, the kingdom aspires to serve as a powerhouse logistical hub connecting the three continents of Asia, Europe and Africa in accordance with the blueprint presented under Saudi Vision 2030.

To meet this objective, the government has already approved massive investment in the construction of ports, railways, airports and roads to enhance the kingdom’s interconnectivity and facilitate the flow of raw materials, capital and human resources, he stated.

“As the kingdom strives to achieve further economic integration with GCC countries, the building and construction sector is expected to pivotal role in completing this process”, added Alshiekh.

REC enjoys a prolonged and successful experience in the Saudi market for over 39 years. Saudi Build 2019, therefore, is a significant landmark in the company’s history.

In addition, all the REC’s leading events are all certified by UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.-TradeArabia News Service
