Sharjah police warned motorists about the dangers of tailgating in their recent social media post.

The police posted a video - on Sunday - of tailgating-related violations in the emirate, urging motorists to leave a safe distance between cars while driving.

The video showed examples of dangerous tailgating incidents, which endangered the lives of drivers and other motorists.

According to UAE traffic laws, tailgating violators face Dh400 fine and four black points.

Sharjah Police called on motorists to drive with caution and follow traffic rules.
