Oman-based Galfar Engineering and Contracting said it has won a contract worth RO753,000 ($1.95 million) for a pipeline project from India-based Punj Lloyd.

Punj Lloyd is an engineering, procurement, and construction contracting specialist listed on National Stock Exchange of India (NSE). The company has implemented significant projects in the Middle East.

The scope of work includes covering the erection and installation of 14-inch Block Valve Station (BVS) piping for the Fahud-Sohar pipelines natural gas liquid (NGL) component, Galfar said in a statement.

The project is likely to be completed by mid-May.

The Fahud-Sohar pipeline is part of a contract won from Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co (Orpic) and Oman Gas Co (OGC), said the statement from Punj Lloyd.-TradeArabia News Service
