Rocco Forte Hotels has opened the doors to its first property in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Assila Hotel is located in the heart of Jeddah’s fashionable shopping district and within easy reach of the central business district. A 20 minute drive from the international airport and 40 minutes from Makkah, the newly built property is perfectly situated in the hub of the city.

The hotel consists of 210 rooms and suites. Starting from 44 square metres, the rooms are spacious and inviting, all individually designed by Olga Polizzi, Director of Design of Rocco Forte Hotels, in collaboration with internationally celebrated designer Martin Brudnizki. The hotel design is contemporary, punctuated with traditional Arabic elements in the lighting, colourful materials and artwork. Art has taken centre stage, with over 2,000 pieces of handpicked original art, both contemporary and traditional, all from Saudi Arabian artists.

In addition, Assila Hotel offers 94 residential suites. The fully-serviced apartments are available for both long and short stays. With a choice of one bedroom, two bedroom and four bedrooms apartments available, residents can enjoy the exquisite design and facilities of the hotel, whilst utilising the housekeeping and concierge service as they wish.

Assila Hotel also includes a selection of eight different restaurants open to hotel guests and local residents. Pampas: Argentinean Grilled Meat & Seafood Restaurant is the first South American restaurant in the city. Diners can enjoy the highest quality meats and fish from an open, specialty Assado grill. On the weekends, the brunch menu offers Argentinean ‘mezze’ and mixed grills to share, as well as a specialty caviar trolley. The Martin Brudnizki striking interior design features plenty of dark wood and leather, colourful stained glass panels, and beautiful chandeliers, with views overlooking the whole of Jeddah.

The 25 metre rooftop pool is a unique place to relax. With breath taking views over the city, the rooftop restaurant, Aubergine, serves Arabic Mediterranean cuisine including healthy items that are low in sugar and gluten. Guests can order these whilst relaxing pool side.

As well as the spectacular swimming pool, guests can enjoy the Assila Spa Jeddah for Him and Assila Spa Jeddah for Her. The spas offer treatments from the world’s leading beauty experts and the finest quality products including Forte Organics, the new organic beauty product line, created exclusively in Italy for Rocco Forte Hotels. For fitness, guests can visit the Assila Fitness for Males or Assila Fitness for Females, or play squash at the onsite squash courts.

The property also offers conference facilities to suit any event. Each of the beautifully cool and modern rooms is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Spacious and filled with natural light, the meeting rooms are located on the third floor, where there is also a dedicated reception area, lounge and Business Centre. The 344 square metre ballroom on the ground floor, and the pre-function and function rooms, 186 and 82 square metres respectively, provide the perfect spaces for events of any occasion.
