Doha, Qatar:  Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) – owned by Qatar Development Bank - has announced the launch of its latest specialised program, the Lean Fashion Program, which is the first of its kind in Qatar. The announcement took place during the opening ceremony of the Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition, which is running until the 30th April.

The Lean Fashion Program is designed to equip aspiring designers and entrepreneurs with a holistic understanding of conducting business in the fashion industry which can help transform their ideas into Qatari fashion brands. The exciting new program also comprises of an acceleration phase that is delivered in Milan, Italy. To deliver the best content possible, an agreement was signed between QBIC and the Fashion Technology Accelerator (FTA) - represented by its CEO Ms. Giusy Cannone - which is a Milan-based hub dedicated to helping fashion startups.  Entrepreneurs who take part in this program will learn how to grow their business alongside experts from the fashion industry, where they will also be provided with the invaluable opportunity to meet with suppliers, distributors and potential partners who are based in Milan.

The creation of more tailored services that are now offered by QBIC is part of the continued commitment to the nation’s economic diversification efforts, whilst simultaneously catering to the evolving ideas and needs of local entrepreneurs who want to set up their own business.
