RIYADH — The Emir of Riyadh Prince Faisal Bin Bandar said that 90 percent of the public transportation project in the Saudi Capital has been completed and there is steady progress such that the project would be ready on time, AlEqtsadiah daily reported.

The project will be completed by the middle or the end of next year 2020 the Emir of Riyadh added.

Prince Faisal made these remarks on the sideline of an event that saw the inauguration of 42 water projects for the environment, water and agriculture system at a cost exceeding SR3.8 billion on Wednesday.

The Emir also inaugurated the new headquarters of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture here.

In a press statement following the ceremony, Prince Faisal extended thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their unstinted support.

Prince Faisal pointed out that the water project would reach Al Qiddiya to contribute in converting the area into arable land, which would then help establish many events and seasons.

The Emir of Riyadh revealed the region’s tendency to afforestation and this would transform Riyadh into a green land.
