Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), the principal offtaker for water and wastewater projects in Saudi Arabia, has set a December deadline for interested companies to submit their proposals for the Juranah Independent Strategic Water Reservoir (ISWR) project, according to a source aware of the details. 

“SWPC had issued the Request for Proposals (RFP) tender to interested companies on 16 November 2021. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 16 December 2021,” the source told Zawya Projects. 

The project would have a water storage capacity of 2,500,000 cubic metres and will include all associated infrastructure and facilities, according to a July 2021 report by Zawya Projects. 

A total of 34 companies, including 21 Saudi companies, had expressed their interest in Juranah ISWR, according to a SWPC statement posted on 17 November. The list included:
