Egyptian developer El Batal Group aims to complete its 600 million Egyptian pounds ($38 million) Rock Elite Medical Complex project in New Cairo in the second quarter, the company's commercial property manager said.

Youssef Samir told Zawya Projects that 80 percent of the six-storey project is complete

"The project is being developed in three phases and would be delivered by June 2021," he said, adding that the first phase includes clinics, pharmacies, an ICU and surgical centre, and a 5,000-square metre, 55-room rehabilitation centre.

Samir said the company is in talks with the Saudi German Hospital Group to operate the rehabilitation centre.

He said the second phase includes mega clinics and commercial spaces, while the third phase would include hotel apartments.

Commenting on ongoing residential projects, marketing director Sarah George said the company is developing the 272-unit Rock Vera project in New Cairo, the 946-unit Rock Eden in the 6th of October City and [the 101-unit] Rock Ville in Obour City.

"We have finished 80 percent of the construction for all projects at a total investment exceeding four billion pounds ($254 million), and aim to deliver by the second quarter of 2021," Sarah George, the company's marketing director told Zawya Projects.
