UAE-Dubai – QiDZ, a family-focused app and Companies for Good (CFG), a company that focuses on helping businesses do well by doing good, teamed up on 20 February 2020 to raise awareness on plastic pollution in the UAE by hosting a beach cleanup at the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary. Over a period of an hour, families picked up plastic and other pollutants from the beach which amounted to over 160 kgs of waste.

Simona Agolini, CEO and Co-founder, QiDZ said: “By participating in these activities, kids witness firsthand the effects of plastic pollution. It is so important to instill the value of protecting the environment in the next generation as this passion for environmental conservation starts at an early age.”

Marc Cirera, Founder and CEO, CFG added: “Through the collection of plastics and pollutants, QiDZ and CFG have helped to keep our land and oceans clean – this, in turn, helps to avoid environmental pollution and saves animals.”

Currently, over five trillion pieces of plastic are swimming in our oceans. It is vital that we become part of the solution.
