Muscat: Continuing to enrich customers’ digital experience, Ooredoo has introduced the eSIM; an innovative electronic SIM card which means that customers will no longer need to physically remove or insert traditional SIM cards. The eSIM allows customers to switch numbers, store their personal and business numbers on a single device and enjoy a great digital experience when using the Ooredoo Supernet network. With this advanced technology, users will also be able to add several numbers to a single eSIM; removing the need to swap SIMs when they travel.

“eSIM brings fantastic advantages to customers, the hassle of switching SIM cards or carrying two phones around is no longer necessary. Users can seamlessly switch from one line to another with complete ease. This is a breakthrough in technology and we very excited to bring it to Oman. Feras bin Abdullah Al Shaikh, Director of Consumer Sales at Ooredoo said. “As the Sultanate’s data experience leaders, we are always working to make sure that our customers can enjoy the internet by providing an easy and exceptional communications experience. This is just one of our state of the art, exciting products and services.”

Existing Ooredoo customers can visit any Ooredoo store and switch to an eSIM at no additional cost. The availability is currently limited Apple’s iPhone but coming soon for other devices.

For more information or to switch to an eSIM, customers can visit any of the nearest 55 Ooredoo stores across the Sultanate or www.ooredoo.om.
