Dubai, United Arab Emirates: HE Omar Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, inaugurated Ingram Micro’s Experience Zone, part of the company’s regional Head Quarters located in the Innovation hub at Dubai Internet City. The Zone showcases numerous Artificial Intelligence-driven Computer Vision and IoT use cases, including applications for medicine, building, transport, security and smart cities.

Alain Monie, CEO of Ingram Micro, attended the inauguration along, with Ammar Al Malik, Managing Director at Dubai Internet City (DIC).

Visitors to the Experience Zone can interact with the latest development in AI, including learning more about face recognition, object detection, emotion, gender, age estimation and many others.

Ingram Micro and its vendor partners are making it possible for resellers, customers and students to touch and experience the latest technology in the easiest way, helping them understand how they can use and deploy the latest in AI. In addition, the Experience Zone’s training center is hosting the Ingram Micro AI and Cyber Security Academies. The company expects about 9,000 visitors per year to the Zone.

The AI use cases at the new Experience Zone will be continuously updated to keep pace with innovation. The Experience zone is designed to help accelerate AI journeys faster and help early adopters move in the right direction.
