ArabFinance: The New Urban Communities Authority has temporarily suspended all real estate auctions in new cities as a precautionary measure amid the COVID-19 breakout, according to a cabinet statement.

Last April, the authority approved the allocation of 32 land plots in 14 new cities.

The Egyptian government allocated in December some EGP 10 billion to develop residential public units across provincial capitals nationwide.

The housing ministry issued a new decree on January 17th to modify the borders of New Cairo and Shorouk City, setting the northernmost border of the former and the southernmost border of the latter as the Cairo-Suez road.
