As part of the ongoing support it provides to newly graduated students in the first steps of their career, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has taken part as a gold sponsor in the Career Fair held at the American University of the Middle East (AUM) from April 29 to 30, 2019. The Bank aims to engage with students and encourage them to join the workforce and discuss opportunities with employers directly.

NBK believes in the importance of supporting students and graduates by providing them with the opportunities that will enable them to grow their talents within in important sectors such as the banking and financial sector, and therefore makes sure it participates and supports career fairs and events that target these young Kuwaiti talents.

Speaking of the participation at AUM’s Career Fair, Abdullah Al-Jassim, Head of Recruitment at the National Bank of Kuwait, said, “The Bank maintains its leading position in the private sector, recruiting and training Kuwaiti talents to qualify them to work in the banking industry.”

Al-Jassim highlighted that the Career Fair is a unique opportunity to share its work culture among students and graduates. He encouraged them to join the private sector and the banking sector in particular, showcasing the training programs that the Bank invests in to help them grow in their respective fields.

He said, “Career fairs are the ideal platforms to interact with ambitious students, and NBK is their ideal choice of employment for a promising career in the sector as they will find at our Bank the resources and programs that will develop their skills at par with international standards and competencies.”

He added that the process of recruitment of young professionals and their appointments to specific divisions in the Bank takes into consideration their skillset so as to ensure that their abilities are invested in properly, helping them become more productive and passionate at work.

NBK is committed to providing training programs for graduates and students to nurture their skills, familiarize them about professionalism at work, give them hands-on practical knowledge and training to enter the workforce market. NBK is one of the largest organizations in the private sector in Kuwait in supporting the youth segment.
