The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Emirates Health Services (EHS) highlighted the latest updates of the "Reaya" app and platform, which is part of the ministry's relentless efforts to harness the latest technologies in providing comprehensive and innovative healthcare services.

This came during the ministry's participation at the Arab Health 2021, which takes place in Dubai between 21 -24 June.

Reaya is a new smart tracking solution that was developed in partnership with Du and aims to monitor COVID-19 patients across the UAE until full recovery.

The platform enhances the capabilities of tracking patients, monitoring their recoveries, and sending them alerts and notifications instantaneously about the regular updates of the disease, based on AI technology to significantly enhance the interaction between healthcare providers and patients across the country.

App users can sign up via the "Dubai Pulse" app in order to make sure that they are receiving regular updates.

Innovative digital projects

HE Dr. Youssef Mohamed Al Serkal, Director-General of the Emirates Health Services, said the ministry is committed to supporting future healthcare decisions and providing AI-based preventive healthcare services. This is part of the ministry’s and the EHS’s commitment to keeping pace with the transformation process to the smart government, consolidating a reliable and efficient digital health system, providing sophisticated health services, and keeping up with the health-related digital updates. This contributes to enhancing innovation in the health sector and utilizing it in providing health and curative services using advanced technology.

Robust healthcare system

Mubaraka Ibrahim, Acting Executive Director of the Information Sector, Director of Health Information Systems Department, EHS, said we have benefited from our fruitful partnership with DU and KPISOFT to develop this innovative app, which is part of our commitment and care for the community health. The app aims to track and monitor coronavirus patients and provide them with the needed healthcare and guidance to protect themselves and those around them until they full recovery, she added.

"According to global reports, MoHAP and EHS achieved a world-leading position in utilizing digital health innovation in dealing with and managing the pandemic, which encourages us to develop more distinctive and effective health practices, she concluded," she said in conclusion.
