State-owned Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) has pre-qualified five international companies for a contract involving project engineering and administrative services, a local newspaper said on Sunday.

The tender will be issued next week by the Central Agency for Public Tenders and the contract will be awarded shortly afterwards, the Arabic language daily Alanba said, quoting KIPIC sources.

The pre-qualified firms are the UK's Amec Foster Wheeler; Fluor Corp and KBR of the US; France-based Technip, and Australia's WorleyParsons.

"KIPIC is set to select one of the five groups as an advisor for project engineering and administrative services," the paper said.
