HAMBURG - Jordan's main state grains buyer has again issued an international tender to purchase 120,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat, European traders said on Thursday.

The tender deadline is Sept. 27.

Such a move had been expected after Jordan failed to make a purchase in its previous tender for 120,000 tonnes of wheat on Wednesday.

Only two trading houses participated in the tender on Wednesday.

Jordan has had difficulty making purchases in a series of grain tenders in recent months, with traders saying uncertainty about quality specifications and payment terms had reduced participation by major grain-exporting houses.

The new tender seeks shipment in a range of possible combinations with 60,000-tonne consignments between Nov. 16 and Dec. 31, traders said.
