JEDDAH: Flights between Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International Airport and London’s Heathrow Airport will resume on Aug. 22 primarily for British nationals who wish to return to the UK and foreigners who have entry visas to the UK.

British Consul General Seif Usher confirmed the report on his Twitter account.

He said these will be the first of a series of direct Saudia flights between the two countries.

Saudi Arabia had suspended international flights on March 15 in the wake of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak.

Since then, the country has emerged from a strict lockdown and travel restrictions between cities have been eased.
