Bushehr Prov, April 8, IRNA

The third international handicrafts market comes into operation in line with the development of handicrafts exports, said Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of Iran (ICHTO) Zahra Ahmadipour on Friday.

“In the time of imposed sanctions, the producers of handicrafts had lost the market in Europe, but with the sanctions being lifted, the way has been paved for the development of exports,” she said referring to increasing revenue of the exports of the handicrafts.

The import of handicrafts and quasi-handicrafts except those not produced in Iran is banned, Ahmadipour said.

“Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization’s this year policy is paying attention to the infrastructure of maritime tourism in which Bushehr Province is a pioneer,” she also said.

“According to the planned schedules, Bushehr Province will be announced as the hub of maritime tourism,” she further added, stressing upon the efforts that have been made by the province to develop maritime tourism there.
