Hospitality giant Hilton has signed a management agreement with UAE conglomerate AW Rostamani Group to develop a new DoubleTree by Hilton property in Bur Dubai.

The 458-key property joins 11 hotels currently operating or in the pipeline for the brand in the UAE, and marks the entry of the AW Rostamani Group into the hospitality industry.

Expected to open in 2020, the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Mankhool will be part of a mixed-use project, which is currently under construction.

The hotel will feature 327 guestrooms with 131 serviced apartments as well as five food and beverage outlets, two outdoor pools, and fitness and business centres.

It will be located in the historic ‘Old Town’ district of Dubai and close to landmarks such as the Dubai Museum, Al Fahidi Fort, Dubai Creek and the souq area. It will also be conveniently located next to two metro stations and a short distance away from the Burjuman Shopping Mall.

“Since we introduced DoubleTree by Hilton to the UAE four years ago, the brand has been a real success story and is now one of the fastest growing in the market,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development, Middle East & North Africa, Hilton. "We look forward to working with AW Rostamani Group to bring about a new and unique offering for travellers looking to experience staying in the heart of Dubai’s traditional, cultural district.”

Khalid Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani, chairman of AW Rostamani Group, said: “DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Al Mankhool represents the expansion of the AWR Properties portfolio, whilst also supporting the leadership’s Dubai Plan 2021 vision to establish Dubai as the preferred place to live, work and visit,”

“Bur Dubai’s rich cultural history offers the ideal location for the new hotel project and will provide us with another platform to continue enriching customer’s lives. Hilton serves as an ideal partner in managing our project, and it is a pleasure to be working alongside the internationally-renowned brand,” he said.
