Dubai: Emirates transport said it would provide a supervisory service on school buses that belong to the council, and the supervisors is expected to increase in comparison to the previous contract for the academic year 2015-2016.

The value of the original signed contract between the council and the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) totals over Dh176 million, while the net value of the additional contract signed is Dh6.432 million.

Emirates Transport’s director indicated that under the two contracts the service of supervising and safety of buses through 2,529 of Emirates Transport’s honourable supervisors and cadres, which amount to 5,500 supervisor for private and public schools in the whole country, will be provided.

The contract is valid for five years.

Transportation and safety supervisors at the Emirates Transport go through a series of training sources that are prepared specifically to achieve the maximum level of safety and awareness of transportation and safety.

“In accordance to the contact, periodic reports will be filed regarding the students’ behaviours, general notes, and violations that may pose a threat on students’ safety during the transportation process and inside school if necessary, and to coordinate these reports with the administrative staff of the school,” said Jasem Mohamed Al-Shaer, the director of the schools’ services Centre, a member of a group of business centers that belong to Emirates Transport.

Schools’ services Centre is a specialised Centre in providing qualified administrators and supervisors for transport for public and private schools as well as colleges and institutes to accompany transported students in school buses.
