Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Gas announced that it has signed a contract worth $3.9 million (EGP 64 million) with Jordanian Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply.

Under the twelve-year contract, a natural gas pipeline will be extended to Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC), according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) on Wednesday.

Previously, the board of directors of Egypt Gas approved signing a contract with Jordanian Egyptian Fajr for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply.

During the first half of 2019, Egypt Gas turned profitable with EGP 14.43 million, versus a loss of EGP 7.55 million in H1-18.
