Dubai, UAE: In light of the global COVID-19 pandemic, Ducab Group, one of the UAE’s largest manufacturing businesses, and a key supplier to the Energy Sector, has implemented  measures to ensure the health of  employees and  public is protected, and that Ducab’s global customers are served with minimal disruption.

In full compliance with all measures enforced by the UAE government and guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO), Ducab is taking all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees and the wider community.

All office based employees are working from home, with all order intake, delivery processes and more being handled remotely. For over 10 days now, the company has separated its operations between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, halting any physical meetings between operations in each emirate, as a measure to keep staff safe and ensure business sustainability.

Enhanced hygiene and sanitisation measures have been introduced in all Ducab factories and facilities, including in worker accommodation, where quarantine rooms were established for any worker returning from overseas to ensure their health. Ducab is also performing temperature checks on everyone who enters all facilities.

Andrew Shaw, Group CEO, Ducab, said: “We are constantly monitoring this rapidly changing situation and will continue to be guided by the advice and initiatives implemented by the UAE government. Our goal is to keep our people and the wider UAE community safe, and so we have implemented several measures to protect the health of our employees, provide a safe and healthy environment, all with the minimum possible disruption to our business.”

Ducab Cables, Ducab HV and DMB plants in the UAE remain fully operational and continue to work towards meeting all contractual delivery commitments. Customers are working with Ducab to expedite deliveries including converting the traditional pre-delivery inspections to video witnessing.  In addition, to overcome logistical issues due to changes in shipping schedules and tightened border controls, Ducab is working with both customers and the relevant authorities to minimise any impact on delivery.

The company will continue to abide by the precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees and the wider UAE community.
