Dubai's Emaar launches Address hotel in Africa

The rebranded hotel in Togo will open shortly

Emaar Hospitality Group, the hospitality and leisure arm of Emaar Properties, has ventured into Sub-Saharan Africa by partnering with Dubai headquartered Kalyan Group to manage and operate its hotel in Togo, West Africa.

The Address Hotels + Resorts will assume the management of the Address Hotel 2 Février Lomé Togo shortly, the company said in a press statement on Wednesday.

The rebranded hotel will have 256 rooms and suites, 64 serviced apartments, themed restaurants and meeting venues.

Established in 1980 as Hôtel 2 Février, Address Hotel 2 Février Lomé Togo is located in a 30-storey tower that is 102-metres high, the tallest building in Togo.

Emaar Hospitality Group plans to operate more hotels in Sub-Saharan Africa, one of its key growth markets, the statement added.

Togo marks the sixth international destination for the hotel brand, which has upcoming hotel projects in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Bahrain and the Maldives, in addition to several new openings in the United Arab Emirates. At present, Address Hotels + Resorts operates six hotels in Dubai.
