Dubai Health Authority (DHA) said it has signed a MoU with VPS Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider with 20 hospitals and over 125 medical centres in the Middle East, Europe and India, to boost co-operation and partnership and exchange experiences.

The DHA delegation is currently on an official visit to India and is meeting representatives of leading healthcare institutions across Kerala besides the cities of Bangalore and Mumbai.

The MoU is aimed at facilitating the knowledge transfer and collaboration in key healthcare areas, said Humaid Al Qutami, the Director General of the DHA after signing the deal with Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, Chairman and Managing Director of VPS Healthcare.

“We aim to provide highest quality super specialized care to our patients and visitors and we work with leading healthcare organizations across the world to help us achieve this vision. This MoU provides us with an opportunity to collaborate in key healthcare fields,” stated Al Qutami.

Dr Vayalil said: "VPS healthcare has a deep-rooted connect with the UAE and we are committed to collaborate in the healthcare sector with the ultimate goal of providing high quality healthcare."

In Kerala, the DHA delegation headed by Al Qutami had visited VPS Lakeshore Hospital and Research Centre, where he was received by Group Director Dr Shajir Gaffar and VPS Lakeshore CEO SK Abdulla.

Abdulla presented an overview of the specialties available especially the organ transplant facilities and the Liver Care Institute.

He highlighted the state-of-the-art techniques the hospital has adopted, the high-quality expertise they have and the importance of multi-disciplinary care in dealing with complex surgeries such as pediatric cancer cases and rarest-of-the-rare tumour cases.-TradeArabia News Service
