Dubai, UAE: The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a special ceremony yesterday at its head office to recognise member companies that have demonstrated outstanding export performance during first eight months of 2018.

The exclusive Exporter of the Month gathering honoured eight companies that operate in the trade sector. Dabur International Limited and Dayal Building Material Traders were recognised as companies with the highest export value.

Nuplas Industries Limited Company and Silver Line Gate Foodstuff were acknowledged for having the highest number of export markets, while Polymed Trading FZE and Food Specialties Limited were recognised for having the highest number of issued Certificates of Origin.

In addition, Easy Buy General Trading and Osram Lighting Middle East FZE were named as a recent startup companies with the highest export value.

During the ceremony, H.E. Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber, congratulated the companies and presented their representatives with a certificate of recognition and an Exporter of the Month trophy.

H.E. Al Ghurair stressed the importance of recognising top-performing member companies and noted that the Exporter of the Month initiative encourages companies operating within Dubai’s trade sector to adopt best practices, improve efficiency and enhance their competitiveness.

“We congratulate the awarded companies for their remarkable accomplishments and encourage them to keep striving for excellence. By being recognised as an Exporter of the Month, these companies are inspiring others within the business community to raise standards and boost performance,” said H.E. Al Ghurair.

Representatives from the top-performing companies expressed their gratitude to Dubai Chamber for the valuable support and guidance that it provides to the local business community.

Dubai Chamber launched the Exporter of the Month initiative in 2009 under the name Exporter of the Quarter, to recognise the outstanding exporting companies in Dubai. The selection of companies is based on distinct and specific criteria derived from the Chamber’s Certificate of Origin database.
