The Company will highlight its comprehensive portfolio of energy and water solutions at SPE's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE)

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) will  showcase its proven portfolio of solutions for oil and gas operations at SPE's (Society of Petroleum Engineers) flagship tradeshow - ATCE, organized for the first time in the Middle East. Dow's chemistry-based innovations for exploration, production and enhanced oil recovery will be highlighted at the show in addition to solutions for oil sands, shale gas and deep water drilling. During the tradeshow, Dow's technical experts will be on hand to demonstrate the capabilities of this broad portfolio to increase yields from existing reservoirs, tap into hard-to-reach reservoirs and meet the overarching need for well integrity and environmental care in today's volatile energy landscape.

Dow's portfolio has been further bolstered by the addition of silicone solutions from Dow Corning after a recent restructuring saw the silicone leader become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dow. Dow Corning is recognized as the pioneer and leader in the silicone-based materials industry and this transaction will bring together that leadership with the added power of Dow's operational excellence, global scale and reach, marketing strength and powerful innovation/R&D engine.

"For over four decades, Dow in the Middle East has been helping customers optimize supply, improve efficiencies and manage emissions by combining a world-class portfolio with localized expertise and unmatched service delivery," says Adriano Gentilucci, Commercial Director - IMEAT, Dow Oil, Gas & Mining.  "The integration of Dow Corning's silicones offering has served to strengthen and complement our portfolio which will accelerate growth for our business as well as help us better equip our key regional customers in their efforts to stay ahead in a turbulent time for the industry".
