DoubleTree by Hilton M Square celebrated the UAE’s 49th National Day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil the property by AWR Rostamani.

The hotel is now open to welcome modern business travellers and urban leisure enthusiasts who are looking for a distinctive experience in the city’s historic district.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Dubai property was attended by Jochem-Jan Sleiffer, President, Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, Hilton; William Costley, Senior Vice President - Operations, Arabian Peninsula & Turkey, Hilton; Khalid Al Rostamani and Dr. Amina Rostamani, the Owners of AW Rostamani Group; as well as the hotel team and special guests.

Standing in front of the artistically innovative and contextually expressive portrait of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Jochem-Jan Sleiffer, Hilton’s president for the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, said: “We are delighted to have opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences on UAE National Day, paying homage to the great leadership of the UAE and to Dubai, one of the world’s leading tourism and business destinations. This property will no doubt be a landmark in the heart of the city, bridging history with modernity and providing travellers a memorable DoubleTree by Hilton experience. We thank AW Rostamani Group for their invaluable partnership and the hotel’s team members for their extraordinary work bringing the warm DoubleTree by Hilton spirit to life in this remarkable new property.”

The 23-storey hotel features 327 uniquely styled hotel rooms and suites that will cater to both business and leisure travellers, as well as 131 serviced residences for short, extended-stays and serviced-living options. The contemporary design is inspired by the “Industrial Chic” concept, demonstrated by an awe-inspiring feature wall, the first-of-its-kind in the UAE, commissioned by London-based Giles Miller Studio.

The intriguing work of art that will greet every guest at the hotel stands over 15 metres long and is comprised of more than 29,000 reflective discs placed on an artwork surface at varying angles to reflect light to the viewer. The piece required a team of artisans and three weeks of assembly to fit all of the discs to the specially engineered backing structure.

“Congratulations to our team at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences who have worked tirelessly to ensure guests receive a warm welcome. We look forward to offering guests privacy and the comfort of home through our spacious rooms and suites and top-of-the-line facilities, as well as the unique opportunity to experience this city’s rich past, present and future through our central location and spectacular views of the Dubai skyline,” added Serpil Guney, General Manager.

As a new dining destination in the city, DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences features three dining outlets, including Larte Italian restaurant, a place to spend an inspiring break; The Spice Tree, offering Indian urban fusion carefully crafted by an award-winning culinary team, and the SunGlo Rooftop Lounge, featuring a 360-degree view of the Dubai skyline and historical areas, allowing guests an urban escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
