Chinese National Electric Engineering Corporation (CNEEC), represented by Mr Zhao Hui donated essential medical equipment used to combat the novel coronavirus “Convid-19” pandemic to Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority “EWA”. This came during Mr Zhao’s recent meeting with HE Dr Anwar Al Abdullah, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Republic of China at the Embassy premises in Beijing.

The Company’s delegation expressed their sincere condolences to the families of those who died because of the virus, and at the same time, wishing those infected with the virus quick recovery. The delegation also praised the measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to put the spread of the virus under control and provide the much-needed medical care to the virus patients as well as raise awareness among citizens and residents.

Furthermore, the Company’s delegation expressed their readiness to double their medical supplies to the Kingdom as well as support its tireless efforts against the pandemic and reduce the active cases as well as deaths. From his side, the Bahraini Ambassador underlined the deep relations knotting the Kingdom of Bahrain as well as the Republic of China, highlighting the growing bilateral cooperation among the two countries.

He valued the public sector’s and private sector’s contribution in China towards backing countries, including the Kingdom of Bahrain to reinforce their abilities against the pandemic. He also praised the donation made by CNEEC, one of the world’s leading companies in the electrical field. He conveyed the best wishes by the the Electricity and Water Minister HE Mr Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak and HE Shaikh Nawaf bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, CEO of EWA and all the Authority staff.

Present during the meeting Mr Ali Abdulhameed, third secretary at the Embassy and HE Mr  Ge Jian, the Regional General Manager of the Company for the Middle East, South and South Eastern Asia.
