The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Wednesday’s trading session with a mixed performance for the second session in a row during the week.

The All-Share and Premier markets retreated 0.21% and 0.32%, respectively, while the Main Market added 0.02%.

The technology segment led eight decliners with a fall of 9.9%, while the basic materials sector topped four gainers with 1.64%.

Automated Systems was the top loser with a decline of 9.85%, while Taameer Real Estate headed the winners with 12%.

Boursa Kuwait’s trading value increased by 27.7% to KWD 25.19 million on Wednesday from KWD 19.72 million in the previous session after the trading volume leaped by 211.1% to 197.7 million shares from 63.54 million.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) posted the highest liquidity of KWD 4.27 million, the stock retreated 0.12%.

Taameer was the most active stock on which 101.32 million shares were traded, the stock registered the largest volume since its listing on Boursa Kuwait.
