Manama, Bahrain: The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) concluded its participation in the 26th edition of the Arabian Travel Market 2019, which was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates between 28th of April to 1st of May, 2019, such participation came in line with its efforts to strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain's position in the regional tourism landscape.

Bahrain’s participating delegation was headed by H.E. Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, and also included officials from the Authority, Gulf Air and Bahrain Airport Company in addition to representatives from leading hotels, tour operators and travel agencies.

The Authority’s participation in the Arab Travel Market comes as part of its overall strategy to promote its tourism identity (Ours.Yours.), which focuses on promoting the Bahraini tourism product at regional and international levels, in order to highlight the attractive tourism elements in the Kingdom and support the continuous efforts to increase the contribution of this sector in the National Economy in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

H.E. Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, commented on this occasion: "We have managed, through participating in this huge event, to strengthen our relationships with many fellow countries by reaching out to many governmental bodies and private corporates, which in turn aided in promoting the attractive tourism characteristics attributed to the Kingdom. We are always keen on being part of the international tourism and tourism events, as well as attracting foreign investments and enhancing tourism bonds. Therefore, we are pleased to announce the success of our participation in this reputable event, and look forward to the upcoming versions."

The Arabian Travel Market is considered the region's premier tourism event; it displays international prominent tourism destinations and attracts a wide range of visitors and individuals interested in the travel and tourism sector and is covered by a host publications in the field of travel and tourism. It provides a unique platform involving a series of seminars and meetings that will address many aspects of the travel industry. This year's edition featured 500 exhibitors, with an estimate of more than 39,000 visitors who attended over four consecutive days.

The Arabian Travel Market Exhibition was launched in 1994 as a small exhibition, with the participation of a limited number of companies and countries, and is now the largest travel and tourism event in the Middle East. The Exhibition provides an excellent opportunity for all industry professionals to meet, communicate, negotiate, and do business covering travel, tourism, airlines, cruising, hospitality, car rental, and spa sectors. On the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market, a number of in-depth seminars were held in which industry experts shared the latest research, trends, and case studies in halls packed with attendees.
