• In latest instalment of video series, Omar Khan, Director of Dubai Chamber’s International Offices shares his views on new prospects for driving UAE-Africa business exchange at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Dubai, UAE: The forthcoming Global Business Forum (GBF) Africa, taking place October 13-14th 2021 at Expo 2020 Dubai, will offer participants an ideal platform to explore new business opportunities emerging across the continent and network with high-level public and private sector stakeholders.

These benefits were highlighted by Omar Khan, Director of Dubai Chamber’s International Offices, who shared his views in the latest instalment of Dubai Chamber’s Ask the Expert - a social media video series launched as part of its Business Connect initiative.

“Hosting the sixth edition of GBF Africa at Expo 2020 Dubai not only adds to the significance of the business forum, but also opens new doors for companies from the UAE and other markets that are keen to explore untapped business potential in Africa,” said Khan.

He noted that Dubai Chamber’s International Offices - located in Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Mozambique – focus their efforts on identifying market opportunities for Chamber members and supporting African companies that are keen to enter the Dubai market, through business introductions and business setup support.

Such benefits will be amplified at GBF Africa 2021 as Dubai Chamber, in its capacity of Official Business Integrator for Expo 2020 Dubai, will operate a dedicated networking facility at the Expo site, which will be visited by prominent investors and businesspeople from all corners of the globe.

“There are huge opportunities for companies to share products, services, technologies and know-how with the states of Africa. The forum is going to offer many different opportunities for entrepreneurs, start-ups, big companies, medium-sized companies, freelancers, service providers and expertise who will have many platforms to meet, such as through B2B channels, through the exhibition areas, and through private meetings that have been set up with key decision makers,” said Khan.

GBF Africa 2021 takes place on October 13-14 at Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo 2020 Dubai. Other major business forums organised by Dubai Chamber during the six-month event include the inaugural GBF ASEAN, the 12th World Chamber Congress and GBF Latin America.
