• Saud Aljasmi: The race complements the Tourism Department’s sports and societal agenda and achieves Ajman’s vision 2021

Ajman: Under the patronage and direction of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, the Amina Hospitals Group signed a collaboration agreement with Endurance Sports Services to sponsor and organize the third edition of Ajman Half Marathon under the name of “Amina Hospitals Half Marathon – Ajman” which will take place in Al Zorah – Ajman on Friday 31 December 2021.

The “Amina Hospitals Half Marathon – Ajman” is considered as the first of its kind in the emirate to include a main distance of 21.1 km, in addition to three other distances of 10 km, 5 km, and 2.5 km to encompass contestants from all levels and abilities, while the total number of participants is expected to reach 1500. The race has an open category and a category for locals (both men and women), and is considered the highest in value in terms of the allocated prizes as more than 30,000 AED will be awarded to the first three places of the 21 km race.

The collaboration agreement was signed by Mohamed Ali Abdallah, COO of Amina Hospitals and Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group in the Northern Emirates, and Bader Ibrahim Al-Zarooni, Vice President of Endurance Sports Services, and in the presence of Saud Abdulaziz Aljasmi, Director of Events Section at the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, and Chafic Ajour, Director of Operations at Amina Hospital, in addition to some board members of Amina Hospital.

In this regard, Saud Aljasmi, Director of Events Section at the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, said: “This race is of great importance as it falls within the sporting and societal agenda of Ajman Tourism, and follows the directives to increase the sporting events and activities due to their value in raising awareness and highlighting the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle, stimulating the tourism sector in the emirate, and achieving Ajman’s Vision 2021”.

Mohamed Ali Abdallah, COO of Amina Hospitals and Anglo Arabian Healthcare Group in the Northern Emirates, underlined the hospital’s efforts in fulfilling this collaboration with the Ajman Department of Tourism Development for the third time after succeeding with the previous two marathons, and for its continuous support for similar initiatives.

Mr. Mohamed Abdallah added:  “The third edition of Amina Hospitals Half Marathon – Ajman which comes under the slogan “Run For Health”, is a proof of Amina Hospital’s commitment to inspire and support the whole community and contribute in raising health awareness and highlighting the importance of proper healthcare. In light of the difficult times we are facing, wellness has become a necessity for everyone.

Bader Ibrahim Al-Zarooni, Vice President of Endurance Sports Services, expressed his appreciation for renewing this agreement for the third consecutive year, and added that the management will place all its capacity to achieve the desired success and matching the previous editions. Al-Zarooni acknowledged all the support of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development invested in the service of community sports in the emirate and in promoting sports tourism which is considered as a main touristic attraction; and extended his gratitude to Amina Hospitals Group for their endless sponsorship of this important event.
