MANAMA: Al Baraka Islamic Bank (AIB) has launched the Danat Al Baraka project in Janusan, after its official inauguration by Housing Minister Bassem Al Hamer on Sunday.

Residential units in the project are available for immediate purchase by beneficiaries of the Mazaya social housing scheme under the umbrella of the Housing Ministry and Eskan Bank.

Eskan Bank managed investments in the project, whereas Eskan Properties, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eskan Bank, managed and supervised the development work.

The Danat Al Baraka project includes 211 modern villas with four different contemporary designs, each consisting of two floors with four rooms, a hall, a kitchen, an annex for a domestic worker, and a garage consisting of two parking spaces.

It is fifth in the Danat series, which includes: Danat Al Madina, Danat Al Riffa, Danat Al Seef and Danat Al Lawzi.

Commenting on the launch, Al Baraka Islamic Bank business group general manager and Danat Al Baraka board chairman Tariq Kazim said: “Work on the Danat Al Baraka project commenced in 2016 and was completed according to the set time frame, despite the circumstances and challenges that we faced. We would also like to thank the main contractor Ahmed Omer Trading and Contracting for its relentless efforts to ensure the timely completion of the project.

“We also extend our thanks to the Housing Ministry, Finance Ministry, Central Bank of Bahrain and Eskan Bank for providing all means of support and facilities that have secured the success of the project,” he added.
