The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) will take part in the 2018 Arabian Travel Market exhibition (ATM) to be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 22-25 of April 2018. The ATDD stand will be located in the Middle East hall on stand number 3540.

ATDD executives will attend the four-day exhibit to promote the tourism potential and showcase newly-launched retail, hotel, and recreational investment opportunities, as well as innovative services offered by the emirate to the tourism and hospitality sectors, as part of its strategic objectives to achieve Ajman Vision 2021.

His Excellency Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General of Ajman Tourism Development Department, said: “We grow more excited, each year, to participate in ATM, one of the region’s preeminent tourism trade fairs, where industry -minded professionals converge to network and share industry experience. With the expected growth of the tourism sector in Ajman, we have aligned our future projects to cater to the emirate’s growing requirements for quality hotels and serviced apartments. Our focus on responsible tourism is evident in projects such as the newly opened Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche and many other significant developments on the emirate.”

The tourism sector in Ajman is witnessing remarkable growth thanks to the efforts of ATDD and its strategy to increase the number of annual visitors in the emirate. “Combined with Ajman’s favourable infrastructure and business-friendly climate, the emirate presents tremendous investment and growth opportunities for investors for many years to come,” Al Geziry said.

“We look forward to exploring the latest trends and learning about the tourism components in regional countries, adopting the best practices and applying them to the tourism sector in the Emirate of Ajman with the goal of attracting more visitors from around the world. The emirate has welcomed 14% more guests in the first quarter of 2018 over 2017, while the hotel nights number increased 12.5% in Q1 of 2018 and the hotel occupancy increased by 77% comparing to 72% in 2017”he said.

Al Geziry added that the ATM is a unique opportunity to highlight Ajman’s tourism attractions and hospitality offerings, which make the emirate both a destination of choice for many tourists from the Arab World and an important tourist destination on the world map.

The Arabian Travel Market (ATM) is the leading, international travel and tourism event in the Middle East for inbound and outbound tourism professionals. ATM 2017 attracted nearly 40,000 industry professionals, agreeing to deals worth US$2.5bn over the four days. The 24th edition of ATM showcased more than 2,500 exhibiting companies across 12 halls at Dubai World Trade Centre, making it the largest ATM in its 24-year history.

More than 20 of Ajman’s co-participants will showcase their respective brands in the ATDD stand during ATM 2018.
