ABU DHABI- Abu Dhabi General Administration of Customs employees attained 810 certificates in training courses in all customs fields via "Tadreeb", the digital platform administering training and distant smart learning, within the first month from launch of the platform.

The platform witnessed participation of Abu Dhabi Customs employees surpassing 23 percent of the total number of employees throughout 4-week lead-time only and platform accessing surpassing 1943 participation covering 30 percent of annual training hours required by employees for assessing performance.

Moreover, the government entity placed 100 percent of its employees in interactive courses aiming at raising their efficiency via communication skills and projects management courses and solving problems via innovative methods in addition to dealers' happiness skills mainly contributing to supporting its strategic priorities through facilitating trading movement and contributing to making Abu Dhabi a global centre for trade.

In a relevant context, Abu Dhabi Customs made available 77 specialised technical and behavioural training courses upon Tadreeb platform which focused on technical courses aiming at raising inspectors’ efficiency compatible with international customs organisation like managing customs dangers and rules of origin and managing coordinating borders and other technical courses in Customs sector.

Fahd Ghareeb Al Shamsy, Executive Manager of supporting services sector, said, "Abu Dhabi General Administration of Customs aims at accomplishing maximum benefit of its employees during their distant working through the digital training platform and enabling administration employees to access training courses in different fields including fields relevant to future sciences as artificial intelligence and the huge data science and information security in addition to earmarking career path for every employee related to self-development throughout leading and skills developing and improving dealers’ pleasing services.

Al Shamsy added that Abu Dhabi General Administration of Customs is determined to execute new and developed training courses keeping pace with future requirements and accelerated variables imposed by the current exceptional circumstances repercussions upon customs sector worldwide through innovating means and tools contributing to increase performance efficiency and meeting actual employee needs which positively reflects upon customs sector performance.
