Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB), a leading financial institution, has opened a new mall branch in Al Ain at Makani Mall to cater for the bank’s growing customer base. With this opening, the total number of mall branches in Al Ain reach 5 with a total of 12 in Al Ain area.

The opening of the Makani Mall branch reflects the bank's strategy to strengthen its on-ground presence and services outreach within the UAE, while also offering a wider array of digital banking services. Similar to all ADIB’s existing branches, this new branch will provide the full range of ADIB’s retail and commercial services to customers with working hours from 10 am to 10 pm across all malls.

Commenting on the new branch opening, Samih Awadhallah, Head of Branch Network at ADIB, said: “We are constantly looking for ways to ensure we are providing our customers with convenient access to high-quality products and services. This latest branch opening is in line with these efforts, our growth strategy and customer-centric approach. It also demonstrates our commitment to serve all our customers across the UAE.”

He added: “While we recognize the importance of digital banking services, and have been making great strides in that area, we also recognize the importance of the human touch and interaction to our clients. By opening new locations according to demand, we aim to deliver a seamless customer-centric experience by providing our clients with leading digital services that are complemented by physical locations.”

ADIB has also embarked on a progressive digital transformation programme that includes the ADIB Simple Lab, a modern and collaborative workspace for our innovation team, as well as a network of FinTechs, digital start-ups, and innovators with the aim of creating transformative banking and finance solutions.

ADIB has seen rapid growth in the use of digital channels by its customers, with over 2 million mobile transactions initiated via the ADIB mobile banking app each month. As part of its digital innovation strategy, the bank has recently launched a new service “Express Finance”, through its mobile app providing qualifying customers with instant access to personal finance to approved customers within 30 minutes and a simple way to apply for personal finance online.
