DUBAI- ACWA Power has signed a financing deal for the development, construction and operation of the 1,500 megawatt Sirdarya Combined Cycle Gas-Turbine power plant in Uzbekistan, it said on Thursday.

A syndicate of seven international lenders will provide $750 million in senior debt for the $1 billion project.

The lenders include the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), German Investment Corporation (DEG), Standard Chartered, Natixis, Societe Generale, the OPEC Fund for International Development and the Bank of China, it said.
