$5bln Saudi Arabia education projects benefit over 2mln in 32 countries

Riyadh — Saudi Arabia, which pays special attention to the education sector, has implemented 132 programs and humanitarian projects worth $5,212,929,000 in 32 countries.

General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief) Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah said in a press statement that 2,393,097 male and female students benefited from these education projects.

KSRelief has been working with 27 partners, including four UN partners.

He said Yemen topped the countries which benefited the most from educational and humanitarian programs and projects, followed by Syria, Indonesia, Guinea, Egypt, China, Niger, Morocco, Cuba, Lebanon, Mauritania, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Vietnam, Uganda, Malawi, Tunisia, Chad, Côte d›Ivoire, Cape Verde, Benin, Pakistan, Cameroon, Palestine, Jordan, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Iraq, Zambia, and India.

Dr. Rabeeah said these efforts come within the framework of the humanitarian mission of the Kingdom represented by KSRelief to spread education in countries and help people in need.
