Muscat: A total of 13 vehicles illegally modified for drifting were seized by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and their drivers arrested, following raids in Shinas and Sohar.

In a statement posted on twitter, the ROP said, "On Saturday 16/6/2018, the police command of the northern Batinah Governorate seized 13 vehicles illegally modified for drifting. Their drivers, which included Gulf nationals, were also arrested.

"They and their vehicles have been detained pending their referral to the judiciary."
