Dubai Health Authority plans to expand Latifa Hospital in Al Jadaf, Dubai, UAE. The project includes a new fertility center building in accordance with the best international standards. It will also be expanding the hospital’s maternity ward and emergency department to increase their capacity. The project will enhance accessibility, safety, and delivery of service. The expansion will not only increase capacity but also improve patient flow procedures, minimize patient transfers from one location to another, and enhance overall care. 2 more operation theater rooms will be added bringing the number of rooms to 6. Presently, approximately 5,000 to 6,000 deliveries take place per year at the hospital. Post the expansion, the hospital will be able to handle close to 10,000 deliveries per year. The first and second phases of the emergency department and the expansion of the labor and delivery suite will be able to cater to 60,000 patients from the current 30,000 patients.
