55MW Thies Cement Production Line Dual Fuel Power Plant Project

Les Ciment du Sahel SA planned to develop 55MW Thies Cement Production Line Dual Fuel Power Plant Project, in Thies, Senegal. Consortium of CGGC-UNPOWER Co Ltd, China Gezhouba Group International Engineering Co Ltd was the EPC contractor of the project. The project covered the design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of a 55MW dual-fuel power station and its supporting power transmission and transformation facilities. The project was designed and constructed according to the European standard and was equipped with a heavy oil generator set that could be transformed into a dual fuel mode, which could burn both heavy oil and gas. Upon completion, it would provide all the power needed by the cement plant and increase the national installed power plant capacity of Senegal by about 5%.
